09 - 2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
10 - 1 tbsp ketchup
11 - 1 tbsp yellow mustard

# How to Make It:

01 - Preheat a grill or skillet to medium-high heat.
02 - In a bowl, combine ground beef with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix gently until just combined.
03 - Divide the beef mixture into 8 equal portions and shape into small, flat patties slightly larger than the buns.
04 - Grill or pan-cook the patties for 2–3 minutes per side, or until cooked to your desired doneness.
05 - In the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheese on each patty and cover briefly to melt.
06 - While the patties cook, brush the cut sides of the slider buns with melted butter and toast them, cut side down, on the grill or skillet until golden.
07 - Place a beef patty with melted cheese on the bottom bun, top with two pickle slices, and add ketchup or mustard if desired. Cap with the top bun.
08 - Serve immediately while warm.

# Expert Tips:

01 -
  • They cook faster than regular burgers, which means you're eating sooner, and that's never a bad thing.
  • The ratio of cheese to beef is practically perfect in every bite.
  • People go absolutely wild for sliders at gatherings, and they're easier to handle than full-sized burgers.
02 -
  • Don't overwork the beef mixture or your patties will turn out tough and dense instead of tender and juicy.
  • Making a small indentation in the center of each patty prevents them from puffing up into balls while cooking.
  • Letting the patties rest for just a minute after cooking helps them hold onto all those delicious juices.
03 -
  • Buy your ground beef from a butcher counter if possible, and ask them to grind it fresh for you.
  • Toast your buns on the grill after cooking the patties, so they pick up all that beef flavor.
  • Keep the slider patties thin, so they cook through quickly without drying out.
